TrumpRx.gov

The government price site lists the Wegovy pill from $149, Wegovy from $199, Ozempic from $199 and Zepbound from $299 a month. It sends you on to the manufacturer to buy. Foundayo was not listed when we checked.

Costco charges the NovoCare prices for Wegovy and the Wegovy pill. Amazon Pharmacy and GoodRx offer Zepbound from $299 and the pills from $149. Cash purchases usually do not count toward your insurance deductible.

About compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide

Compounded versions are mixed by pharmacies rather than made by Lilly or Novo Nordisk. They are not FDA approved, so their strength and purity are not checked the way brand-name drugs are. They were widely sold during the 2022 to 2025 shortages. The FDA declared the tirzepatide shortage over in December 2024 and the semaglutide shortage over in February 2025, and pharmacies may now only make them for a patient with a documented medical need for something different from the approved product. The FDA sent dozens of warning letters to online sellers in 2026. If cost is the issue, the brand-name pills now start at $149 a month.

If you have insurance or Medicare

Commercial insurance

If your plan covers the drug, the makers' savings cards can bring your copay down to as little as $25 a month (up to $100 off per fill). Many plans need prior authorization first. Some online clinics will handle that for you.

Medicare

From July 1, 2026 to December 31, 2027, the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge covers Wegovy, the Wegovy pill, Foundayo and Zepbound KwikPen for a $50 monthly copay, if you meet its weight and health criteria and your prescriber gets approval. Check the criteria.

Medicaid

Only about a dozen states cover GLP-1s for weight loss through Medicaid, and several dropped coverage in 2026. Check with your state's Medicaid office.
